Wiltingen Kupp

Subjected to great alterations, fine-grained and bright - this is the shale soil of the Wiltinger Kupp vineyard. It produces a wine of quite another type, brilliant and slender - with delicate notes embedded in a scented bowl of fruit.

Kanzem Altenberg
Erste Lage VDP

Rising up like an enormous steep mountain face, the Kanzemer Altenberg vineyard enjoys a perfect south-south-easterly orientation. Like all von Othegraven terroirs, it is characterised by Devon shale soil, which, in the Altenberg location, contains traces of iron-oxide that lend the ground a red sheen. This main terroir of the estate, which is mineral and warm at the same time, produces a noble, wholly self-contained wine of natural inner greatness.

Wawerner Herrenberger
Erste Lage VDP

An exiting addition to our existing portfolio of vineyards. Unique, highly weathered Devon shale soil and a perfect southerly orientation. One of the most venerable vineyards of the Saar produces wines of strength and complexity.

Ockfen Bockstein
Erste Lage VDP

The silver-grey shale vinyards of the Ockfener Bockstein, one of the classical terroirs of the Saar river, are opening up like an amphitheatre. Accordingly, the typical wine from this region presents itself with the inimitable fruitiness of the Riesling grape - mildly spicy, full of character and subtle at the same time.
